About Us

Routine Foot Care

Ardsley Foot Care is led by Victoria, a qualified Foot Health Practitioner providing professional mobile foot care across South Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas. She delivers safe, routine treatments in clients’ own homes, supported living settings, and care homes, helping people stay comfortable, mobile, and independent.

Victoria holds a Level 4 Diploma in Foot Health Practice and works to clear clinical standards. Her approach is calm, thorough, and practical. She understands that foot care is often left too long, nails become thick, hard skin builds up, walking becomes uncomfortable, and small issues quickly turn into bigger problems. Regular, properly delivered maintenance makes a real difference.

As part of the wider Wiggly Toes network, Ardsley Foot Care operates with structured record keeping, strong infection control procedures, safeguarding awareness, and reliable scheduling. Victoria is DBS checked and works professionally and respectfully in every setting.

This is not a spa or cosmetic service. It is straightforward, evidence-informed foot health care, delivered properly and without fuss.

The aim is simple — dependable foot care that families trust, care homes rely on, and clients feel confident booking again.

Testimonials

“I’ve been having regular visits from Victoria for some time now, and the difference it’s made is huge. Before she started coming, my nails had become thick and difficult to manage, and walking was uncomfortable. Victoria is professional, calm, and never rushes. She explains what she’s doing and makes sure I’m comfortable throughout. After each visit my feet feel lighter and I can walk properly again. It’s made a real difference to my day-to-day life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

John

“Victoria has been absolutely wonderful. I was a little nervous at first as I’d never had a Foot Health Practitioner visit before, but she immediately put me at ease. She is patient, gentle, and very thorough. My feet had been sore for quite a while because I couldn’t manage them myself anymore. After just one visit I felt so much better, and now I book regularly. It’s reassuring to know someone reliable and professional is looking after my feet. I honestly wish I’d arranged it sooner.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Foot Health Practitioner do?

A Foot Health Practitioner provides routine, non-surgical foot care. This includes nail cutting, reducing thickened nails, removing corns and hard skin, and helping keep feet comfortable and healthy.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly without seeing your GP first.

Do you treat diabetic clients?

Yes, we provide routine foot care and monitoring for diabetic clients. If we identify anything that requires specialist podiatry or medical input, we will advise you clearly.

Do you carry out surgery?

No. We do not perform surgical procedures. Ingrown nails and other conditions are treated conservatively and safely within our scope of practice.

How long does an appointment take?

A routine appointment usually lasts around 30 minutes. Initial visits may take slightly longer.

How often should I book?

Most clients benefit from appointments every 6–8 weeks to maintain comfort and prevent problems from developing.

Do you visit care homes?

Yes. We provide structured clinic-style visits to care homes and supported living settings. Please contact us to discuss regular scheduling.

Is treatment painful?

Most treatments are comfortable. Corn removal or very thick nail reduction may feel slightly tender, but we work carefully and at your pace.

What do I need to prepare before the visit?

Please ensure your feet are clean and accessible. If you take medication or have relevant medical conditions, having that information available is helpful.

What areas do you cover?

We provide mobile foot care across WF3, South Leeds, Wakefield and the surrounding towns and villages. This includes Ardsley, East Ardsley, West Ardsley, Tingley, Morley, Middleton, Rothwell, Outwood, Wrenthorpe, Stanley, Lofthouse, and nearby communities.

Because we operate as a home-visiting service, we plan our routes carefully to keep appointments punctual and consistent. If you’re just outside these areas, it’s always worth asking — we may still be able to accommodate you, particularly for regular visits or care home bookings.

How do I book?

You can book by phone, email, or via the online booking form on our website.

What’s included / not included

Treatments are delivered by a Foot Health Practitioner (not a podiatrist).

We can advise and signpost, but we do not diagnose medical conditions. Where needed, we will recommend GP, podiatry, or other clinical referral.

Some conditions may require referral before treatment (for example: severe infection, non-healing wounds/ulcers, acute swelling with unknown cause, suspected DVT, unexplained severe pain, or any situation that would be unsafe to treat at home).

Doppler screening

Doppler screening is used to support safe care and help identify circulation concerns.

It is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace GP / hospital assessment.

If results suggest poor circulation, we may recommend referral and may limit certain treatments for safety.

Hygiene, environment and access requirements

For safety and infection control, we require:

A safe, clean, well-lit area to work in.

A standard chair for the patient and enough space for the practitioner to work comfortably.

We are unable to move heavy furniture or lift patients.

Pets must be kept away during treatment.

Pricing and payment

Prices shown are in GBP and may change from time to time. The price confirmed at booking will apply to that appointment.

Targeted treatments and extra time are charged based on what is required on the day (you’ll be told before proceeding).

Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.

Clinical discretion

The practitioner may adjust the treatment plan, duration, or advise referral if treatment would be unsafe or inappropriate on the day.
